The beautiful City Agra  located  on the western banks of the River Yamuna in Uttarpradesh (UP) a northern State of India. This romantic and historical city is the perfect spot for spending quality time for tourists from all over India  and the world.  Agra is home to the iconic Taj Mahal,  One of the Seven Wonders of the World,   a mausoleum built for the Mughal ruler Shah Jahan’s wife, Mumtaz Mahal (who died in childbirth in 1631). The imposing main building features a massive dome and intricately carved white marble inlaid with precious stones. This is set behind a reflecting pool inside a courtyard defined by 4 minarets. Taj Mahal  is a favorite romantic spot for most newly-wed couples. INCREDIBLE ODISHA (INDIA ) :  CHILKA LAKE About 2- 2.5 hrs from Puri is the world famous Chilika lake( its actually a lagoon). It’s a great way to spend the day if you have time to be with nature. Lots of winter migratory birds can be seen. Chilika LAKE is the most famous and the largest coastal lagoon of India and the second largest lagoon in the World. Chilika Lake is the brackish water lagoon and home of migratory birds and rare and endangered Irrawaddy Dolphins, Satapada is known as the Dolphin Sanctuary, located near to Puri.  HOW TO REACH CHILKA BY FLIGHT Chilika Lake does not have an airport. ORISSA (ODISHA) TOURIST PLACES-2 Huma Temple HUMA TEMPLE- THE LEANING TEMPLE: This Temple was built in the reign of Baliar Singh, the 5th Raja of Chauhan Dynasty of Sambalpur.This Shiva Temple built on the banks of the mighty Mahanadi river the lifeline of Chattisgarh and Odisha states is a renowned  for its leaning shape. There are water pools amidst the rocky bank in which one can see various fish . Devotees often throw them feed being sold by locals. The Mahaseer fish is particularly famous here and it is prohibited to catch them. The place has a quiet ancient look and is situated just about 20 kms from Sambalpur town which in turn is easily accessible by train and road from Bhubaneswar city (310 kms away) the capital of the state of Odisha (India) . One can spend peaceful time gazing at the artistic boulders strewn on the river bed. The management appears to be sound since no local priests mobbed visitors for performing any rituals.

ORISSA (ODISHA) TOURIST PLACES-1 HIRAKUD DAM Hirakud Dam is built across the Mahanadi River, about 15 kilometres from Sambalpur in the state of Odisha in India. Behind the dam extends a lake, Hirakud Reservoir, 55 km long. Though one is not allowed to actually go on the dam bridge, one can enjoy the scenic beauty from well chosen high points. Absolutely breathtaking views. Winter and evening times are the best. Lets you spend good 1-2 hours there. This dam is inaugurated by India’s first Prime Minister late Jawaharlal Neheru. It is the World’s longest dam. Having both side two minars namely Gandhi Minar and Nehru Minra and also it is a great tourist attraction with having a picnic place nearby. The dam is situated right next to sambalpur city. The newly constructed road along the dam is a pleasure ride. The view from jawahar Tower (Nehru Minar)  is also very good.
