HUMA TEMPLE- THE LEANING TEMPLE:

This Temple was built in the reign of Baliar Singh, the 5th Raja of Chauhan Dynasty of Sambalpur. This Shiva Temple built on the banks of the mighty Mahanadi river the lifeline of Chattisgarh and Odisha states is a renowned
for its leaning shape. There are water pools amidst the rocky bank in which one can see various fish . Devotees often throw them feed being sold by locals. The Mahaseer fish is particularly famous here and it is prohibited to catch them. The place has a quiet ancient look and is situated just about 20 kms from Sambalpur town which in turn is easily accessible by train and road from Bhubaneswar city (310 kms away) the capital of the state of Odisha (India) . One can spend peaceful time gazing at the artistic boulders strewn on the river bed. The management appears to be sound since no local priests mobbed visitors for performing any rituals.
